Gadzalinski honored with Birch-Sturm Fellowship award
Gadzalinski accepted the award from Barbara Haenel, president of the Rhinelander Lions Club.
"The Rhinelander Lions Club Birch Sturm Fellows selected Gadzalinski as the recipient of this, the Wisconsin Lions Foundations highest recognition of a Lion Club member," the club said in a press release announcing the honor. "Lion Tom Gadzalinski has been an active member of the Rhinelander Lions Club, and has actively supported club endeavors."
The Wisconsin Lions created the Birch-Sturm Fellowship award in 1990 to honor those individuals who "exemplify undying dedication and commitment to lionism."
The fellowship is named after Wisconsin's only international presidents, Frank V. Birch and Clarence L. Sturm.
Gadzalinski received a lapel pin, plaque, and a patch identifying his Birch-Sturm Fellowship.
His name is inscribed on the master plaque, honoring all recipients, located at the Wisconsin Lions Foundation office.
