Eagle River arts center announces upcoming classes
"We are excited to offer so many programs for both children and adults." Trista Langley-Tyler, interim co-director of the center, said in a press release.
Class costs range from $20 to $90, and parents with multiple children are encouraged to call in their registrations to get a multi-child discount, if desired. Scholarships also are available thanks to a donation for that purpose from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, through the Joann Birkeness Memorial Fund. In addition, free walk-in children's arts and crafts projects are offered at least two Saturdays per month, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"Programs include the ever-popular Corks and Canvas, a fun class where attendees can enjoy a glass of wine while they paint; a Harvest Dinner Menu class; 'Rethunk Your Junk,' a furniture painting class to turn old furniture into new and unique pieces; and a class for kids to learn holiday cookie decorating techniques," the release notes. "An 'Intro to Eco-Printing and Eco-Dyeing' is also offered, along with a kid's holiday gift making class, a canvas painting class for kids, and a "Make-It Take-It" ceramic glazing class."
Future classes will be added throughout the winter season.
For information on dates for the free walk-in kid's offerings, interested persons are encouraged to follow The Warehouse on Facebook or call.
The next session will happen in conjunction with Hallowfest, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 31.
