The ReStore's hours will be Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The building sports the organization's colors - green and blue.
There are about 20 ReStores in Wisconsin, but this is the first one in northern Wisconsin.
"It's a little like a thrift shop but we're not trying to compete with Goodwill or St. Joe's, ours is more building materials, appliances, doors, windows, things like that," said Ray Burgan, president of Habitat for Humanity Northwoods.
The organization has four storage sheds full of merchandise so there is plenty for consumers to choose from.
Items include lamps, furniture, pictures, building materials, bunk bed frames, TV stands, refrigerators and more.
The ReStore will not accept chemicals, clothes, bedding or dishes.
"It is a good place to buy fairly good condition building materials," Burgan said.
All of the items were donated to Habitat for Humanity to be sold.
Items are being sold at 50 percent below retail price. The store accepts cash and credit and debit cards.
All of the money raised will stay in Oneida and Vilas counties as the proceeds will go toward the construction of the next Habitat for Humanity house.
Habitat for Humanity would like to build two or three houses a year. The homes are for lower-income families, who will pay back the cost of the home at 0 percent interest.
The Rhinelander High School Building Trades students built the last house.
"I've been involved with other organizations also - the homeless shelter - and just the generosity of the people in the Northwoods here is so fantastic that that's what's going to help make this place a go to help get builds out for people in need," said George Allen, store manager.
The ReStore will have a website and Facebook page up shortly so people will be able to see what is in stock.
To donate items to the ReStore, call the Habitat for Humanity office in Woodruff at (715) 356-7203.
Items will be picked up and transported to the store.
The ReStore is looking for more volunteers to pick up materials, wait on customers and stock shelves.
To volunteer contact Allen at (715) 420-2301.
