Middle school cross country sweeps Northland Pines invite
The Hodag boys dominated, placing six runners in the top seven and seven in the top 10. Jacob Weddle, Konnor Kennedy, Jaden Beske and Tristan Fuss swept the top four positions for the Hodags, all cracking the 10-minute barrier. Weddle clocked in at 9 minutes, 39.2 seconds. Kennedy crossed in 9:48.7 with Beske and Fuss less than three seconds behind. Rounding out Rhinelander's top seven were Jacques Tulowitzsky (6th, 10:09.8), Cal Laggis (7th, 10:10.6) and Zachary Goodrich (10:26.9).
The Hodag girls defeated Northland Pines by four points for the team title. Megan Brown led the way, placing fourth overall (10:51.0), Brynn Brzycki was sixth (11:00.7), Sage Flory finished seventh (11:03.6), Delaney Chillemi was 11th (11:25.6), Audrey Schiek finished 16th (11:56.1), Anna Wood was 18th (12:10.9) and Lily Eternicka took 25th (13:05.1).
