Taco John's honored for support of Rhinelander Salvation Army
"It is our pleasure to help our community and we are honored to work with so many great people," Guth said in a press release announcing the award. "We have been teaming up the Rhinelander Salvation Army since our opening December 2006. This is our ninth year of giving, in conjunction with our Nachos Navidad holiday promotion."
Thomas Bremer, Service Extension Representative of the Wisconsin and Upper Michigan Salvation Army, presented Guth with a gold kettle in honor of her efforts in raising thousands of dollars for the Rhinelander Salvation Army. Also at the ceremony, Tom Jerow and Jan Leschke presented Guth with a certificate of appreciation for her commitment to the community.
Rhinelander businesses and individuals contribute to the efforts of the Rhinelander Salvation Army, knowing that $.86 of every $1 donated stays right here in our community. The Rhinelander Salvation Army provides emergency assistance with housing, transportation and medical needs. Housing services include temporary shelter at Frederick Place, and emergency utility and rent assistance. Transportation services include gas cards or assistance with repairs. Medical assistance frequently includes help with life-saving prescription medications.
