RHS grad Schaffer named to All-Midwest Conference football team
According to Ripon College, Schaffer is making his second All-MWC appearance. He also earned second-team honors a season ago. An environmental studies major, Schaffer recorded 39 tackles this season, including 3 1/2 for a loss. He also recorded a half sack and one pass breakup, while starting all 10 games for the Red Hawks.
Six other Red Hawks received all-conference honors from the MWC. Offensive lineman Lucas Kilian was the only offensive player named to either team. Joining him on the first team were defensive lineman Brandon Bartel, linebacker Austin Schleisner, defensive back Jordan Remsza and special teams performer Decker Thompson. Defensive back Dakotah Kirchenwitz also received second-team honors.
Ripon, a NCAA Division III school, went 7-3 this season, including a 3-2 mark in the Midwest Conference.
