Downtown Rhinelander businessess will soon be decking the halls and putting up lights to kick off the holiday season. Families can ring in the season from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28. Storefront windows will be transformed with a little holiday magic.

"Shoppers will delight in premier shopping downtown, while creating special holiday memories with their families," according to Lauren Sackett, the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism and Event Coordinator. "It's a free event we think will satisfy everyone's wish lists."

The traditional lighting of the city's holiday tree will take place at Stevensport Square beginning at 6 p.m. Attendees will be treated to hot chocolate, choral performances and an appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The window walk and tree-lighting ceremony are made possible by the city of Rhinelander, Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Rhinelander, Inc., Oneida County Tavern League, and Big Daddy's.

For more information on the event, visit ExploreRhinelander.com or call the chamber at (715) 365-7464.
