Rhinelander Lions Club announces annual deer hide collection
Club members are collecting deer hides and tails to earn funds that are to be used to provide camping scholarships at the camp, the club said in a press release.
The Wisconsin Lions Camp provides free camping for young people who are afflicted with blindness, deafness, diabetes and other infirmities.
Interested parties can contact the Rhinelander Lions Club at [email protected] for camp, or camper scholarship information.
The donated hides can be placed in barrels located near Hodag Gun and Loan at 2261 Lincoln Street, Rhinelander. This location is the northwest corner of Lincoln Street, and the Wisconsin Highway 17 bypass. The Lions would also appreciate donations of salt that will be used to preserve the hides until they are disposed of.
