Wisconsin Woodchucks to hold free youth baseball clinic June 6
Participants will spend time learning the fundamentals of baseball such as hitting, fielding and pitching with certified instructors from the Wisconsin Woodchucks of the Northwoods League.
"Chevrolet is most notably recognized on the national level as the 'Official Vehicle of Major League Baseball,'" according to a press release announcing the event. "Chevrolet has expanded the support of Major League Baseball down to youth baseball players in communities across the country. The Chevy Youth Baseball program is a grassroots, community outreach program geared toward bringing together America's favorite brand, Chevrolet, with America's favorite pastime."
The event is sponsored locally by Rhinelander GM.
"Rhinelander GM Auto Center is a proud supporter of the local youth baseball leagues," the press release states. "They have provided equipment, a test drive fundraising opportunity, and a sponsorship check for the baseball programs."
Registration for this event is available online by following these steps:
1. Go to www.
youthsportsclinics.com;
2. Click the blue "Register Now" button;
3. Select "Wausau" in the drop-down menu;
4. Enter the password "playball" (all lowercase, no spaces) and click "Submit;"
5. Click "Register Now" for desired session and enter registration information. Click "Add Attendee" on the next screen to add players;
6. Click the blue "Complete Registration" button at the end of the page to submit your registration and
7. Don't forget to download the waiver (from the website or your confirmation e-mail). Each child must have a completed waiver to participate.
