Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center Behavioral Health welcomes nurse practitioner
Ford brings a broad range of practice experiences, having worked in health care for more than 20 years. She has education and experience in many roles, including dietitian, nurse and nurse practitioner.
She has spent most of her career working for the clinic. She was a women's health nurse practitioner from 1996-2004 at the Clinic's Wausau Center and was an informatics specialist and a clinical nurse specialist from 2004-2011 at Marshfield Center.
"I'm thrilled to be working with Marshfield Clinic again and joining a well-respected team," Ford said. "I believe in helping patients reach their highest potential for mental and physical well-being. It's so important to listen to each individual's life story, and then work together to develop their unique, personalized treatment plan."
She currently is pursuing additional education in mental health, through the University of Wisconsin-Madison, to become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She earned her master's degree in nursing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
"In my personal time, I relax by kayaking, bicycling, snowshoeing and skiing, and I enjoy everything the Northwoods has to offer," Ford said. "I also enjoy travel and exploring new areas of Wisconsin."
Ford is married and lives in Tomahawk.
