Nicolet, Northland enhance bachelor's degree completion opportunities
The broadest of the agreements guarantees admission to Northland with junior status to students who graduate from Nicolet's University Transfer Liberal Arts program with at least a 2.0 grade point average. They must declare their intent to transfer before earning 30 credits.
Officials also signed five other agreements that create a smooth pathway for Nicolet students to earn several specific bachelor's degrees at Northland.
These pathways are for graduates earning associate degrees in Nicolet's business management, graphic design, early childhood education, and University Transfer Liberal Arts Associate of Science-Natural Resources Emphasis programs.
Credits from these Nicolet degrees transfer directly into Northland's bachelor's degree programs in business management, sustainable entrepreneurship, elementary/middle education, graphic design, and natural resources.
"This collaboration with Northland College provides a seamless transition for Nicolet graduates who have their sights set on earning a bachelor's degree," said Nicolet Transfer Coordinator Teresa Rose. "The agreements allow students to visualize their path, hopefully making the journey a little less daunting."
Nicolet now has more than 75 credit transfer agreements with public and private four-year institutions.
Located in Ashland, Northland is a liberal arts college with about 600 students. It was established in 1906 and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
Anyone wanting more information about these or other credit transfer agreements should contact Teresa Rose at (715) 365-4625, [email protected].
