'Adopt-a-Basket' returns to Rhinelander
'Adopt-a-Basket' returns to Rhinelander
Each summer the downtown becomes "alive" with 115 flower baskets - helping beautify the city. The Adopt-a-Basket campaign generates funds for the flowers, materials, fuel costs, and people to water them daily during the summer and early fall months, Downtown Rhinelander Inc. said in a press release. "This program costs over $8,000 to run and without the community's help local streets wouldn't look as nice as they do," the release states.

The public is invited to support the "Sponsor a Basket" program with a contribution of $100 a basket. Any donation towards this project would be greatly appreciated.

"Mother's Day is around the corner - why not honor Mom with a beautiful flower basket that she doesn't have to take care of and can be enjoyed by thousands of people?" the release asks.
