RN: Explain your job.
Shetler: With the help of a great staff, I order, cook and serve (food to) the children at James Williams Middle School. The kids are always greeted with a smile, and we make sure they walk away with a well-balanced meal and a smile.
RN: How long have you held this job?
Shetler: This is my fifth year at the middle school, and my 14th year in food service.
RN: What is your favorite part of the job?
Shetler: The kids, of course!
RN: What is the biggest misconception about the job?
Shetler: That we do not truly care about the health and well-being of the children we serve.
RN: What do you
like to do in your spare time?
Shetler: My new passion is Special Olympics. This is my second year as a volunteer at the middle school. It is, by far, the most rewarding thing I have ever been involved in.
