Dr. David Lee has joined Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center's Radiation Oncology team to provide advanced cancer care for northern Wisconsin residents, the clinic announced in a press release.

"I am excited to join Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center as they offer the most advanced radiation oncology technology for cancer care in the Northwoods," Lee said. "I chose Marshfield Clinic as a system due to their ongoing commitment to cancer care and research. As a physician trained in Canada, Marshfield Clinic's commitment to being an accountable care organization is especially important to me. I am proud to be a part of this commitment."

Lee completed his education and training in Canada.

He earned his bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Master's degree in Biology from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He earned his medical degree from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and his fellowship in Radiation Oncology at the BC Cancer Agency - Fraser Valley Center, Surrey, British Columbia.

Lee also has experience in clinical research and has a special professional interest in head, neck and lung oncology, as well as Image Guided Radiotherapy and Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy.

"I decided to move here because Marshfield Clinic's dedication to clinical care, professional practice development and work-life balance is what ultimately brought me to work here. My family's love for the outdoors is what ultimately attracted us to the Northwoods area," Lee said.

In his spare time, Lee enjoys playing the piano, hiking, camping, fishing and being physically active.

"We are very happy to have Dr. Lee join our team at the Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center," said Sharon Stachewicz, manager, Radiation Oncology. "He brings a fresh perspective and very current expertise with the latest technology in cancer treatment."
