RHS students participate in Solo and Ensemble
Musicians from Rhinelander High School traveled to Merrill High School Feb. 21 to participate in the Wisconsin School Music Association's District Solo and Ensemble. A total of 90 RHS musicians made the trip, and several students participated in Class A events, allowing them to "qualify" for state, should they receive superior marks in several categories of performance.

Of the 90 students, 73 will be moving on to the state competition May 2 at UW-Stevens Point. Members of the Show Choir, Green Shades Jazz Ensemble, Flute Choir, Clarinet Choir, Sax Choir and Brass Ensemble will compete. Several members of these groups will also be performing Class A vocal and instrumental solos and duets.
