Marshfield Clinic Eagle River Center welcomes new general surgeon
Boyer has expertise in all aspects of general surgery, including breast cancer surgery, but especially enjoys minimally invasive procedures, such as laparoscopic surgeries.
"I am passionate about patient-centered medical care. Patients come first," Boyer said. "I feel privileged to be able to extend my practice to now include Eagle River."
Boyer was born in Milwaukee. When she was 5 years old, her family moved to the Minocqua area. She chose to establish her surgical practice in northern Wisconsin because of the quality of medical care in the community and her connections to the Northwoods.
"The best part of working in the Northwoods is caring for members of the communities in which I live, and amongst whom I was raised. It's a wonderful area to work, live and raise a family," she said.
Boyer is married and has five children. In her spare time, she enjoys tending to her garden, fishing, reading and watching ice hockey. She looks forward to her sailing adventures.
Boyer completed her medical training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She then completed her internship and residency at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center, Salt Lake City, Utah.
She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and the Wisconsin Surgical Society.
