Nicolet College Empty Bowls raises nearly $2,000 for area food pantries
The fundraising event consisted of a meal of soup and bread prepared by Nicolet College Culinary Arts students.
Thirty-eight area potters, including students from Mercer Middle School, volunteered their time to make about 200 bowls. The Northwoods Turners also donated 15 wooden bowls.
As a bonus, those attending the event were able to keep the bowls in which they were served.
Members of the Nicolet College Employees Association assisted with the event.
