Hodag Kids for Kindness group helping animals

The moist and gooey baked goods consisted of rice crispy treats with chocolate on top, brownies, and of course, treats for dogs.
The desserts were donated by people in the community.
"I really love animals so I'm really glad that (the money is) going to the animals," said Ava Lamers, a Hodag Kids for Kindness member.
The proceeds from the sales will help offset adoption fees.
"It can help them a lot," said group member Ryan Jamison.
Jamison said he thought the lemonade and bake sale went well.
"We do a different project in the community each month so this month the kids wanted to do something to help the animals," said Janet Jamison, unofficial leader of Hodag Kids for Kindness group.
The program has been available since January of this year.
"(Hodag Kids for Kindness is) really fun because we get to go out and do different kinds of things to be nice to different kinds of people," said Lamers.
