Rhinelander 3 5, Lakeland 4
Rhinelander 3 faced off against an undefeated Lakeland squad on Wednesday night in a game that provided plenty of entertainment for the spectators. Rhinelander's Jacob DeMeyer brought his A-game to the mound during the showdown. DeMeyer threw all seven innings, striking out 13 batters with only a single walk. DeMeyer was lights out during the fifth and sixth innings of the game. He struck out all three batters who stepped up to the plate in the fifth and went three-and-out in the sixth with a pair of strikeouts.
Rhinelander kept Lakeland sitting on the scoreboard with a goose egg through three innings. During the fourth inning Lakeland muscled out two runs but Rhinelander still held a 4-2 lead. Lakeland fought back during the top of the seventh inning, scoring two runs to tie the game and forcing Rhinelander to bat in the bottom of the seventh. DeMeyer drew a walk, stole second base and then advanced to third base on a sacrifice bunt from Danny Zuiker. Alec Modrow was the next batter to step up to the plate. With DeMeyer at third, Modrow took a first pitch strike and jumped on the second pitch, sending a shot over the second-baseman's head for a walk-off single to win the ball game for Rhinelander.
DeMeyer's day on the mound was complimented by his day at the plate. He had two hits, a stolen base, a walk and brought in a run.
Zuiker laid down two sacrifice bunts to advance base runners during the game.
Modrow finished the day with one run on three hits and brought in one.

Rhinelander 1 0; Tomahawk 10
Rhinelander-1 faced a hard-hitting Tomahawk team in the first Babe Ruth match-up on Thursday at Hodag Park in Rhinelander. Although the game was a bit one-sided there were a few highlights for Rhinelander in the game. Rhinelander sent Conner Cooper to the mound and although Tomahawk scored 10 runs, Cooper pitched six innings and struck out seven batters. The game was within reach for Rhinelander heading into the sixth inning when they only trailed by six runs, but the sixth inning was too much for Rhinelander to handle.
Liam Rappley, Matthis Schneider, Bradley Comer and Brandon Cox all had a hit in the game, but Rhinelander wasn't able to string a series of hits together to get the team going.
Rhinelander's Laser Pros International team faced off against Rhinelander 3 in the second Babe Ruth matchup at Hodag Park on Thursday. Offense was the story of the night for both teams in a back-and-forth battle that went into extra innings. Tait Spencer was Laser Pros starting pitchers and went two innings. Bryce Schickert came in to pitch to start off the third inning. Schickert pitched three innings and recorded four strikeouts. Matthew Reinthaler came into the game midway through the sixth inning and finished out the game. Reinthaler struck out four.
Rhinelander 3 had Wednesday's walk-off winner, Alec Modrow on the mound to start the ball game. Modrow pitched seven innings, striking out four batters to earn with the win. Logan Wild came into the game to pitch the eighth and final inning. Wild struck out the last batter to seal the victory.
After two innings Laser Pros led the game 3-2. After four it was a tie game at 3-3. Laser Pros pulled ahead again in the fifth inning, scoring three runs to make it a 6-3 game. Rhinelander pushed back, scoring four runs in the sixth inning that would end 7-7. The tie carried through the seventh, forcing extra innings.
