Three Lakes Bird Club offers bird watching kit at Demmer Library
The kit contains a pair of Bushnell 12x magnification all-weather binoculars, instructions for using the binoculars, a Birds of Wisconsin field guide, bird watching in the Thunder Lake Wildlife Area bird checklist, and a checklist of birds in Three Lakes.
"The Nicolet Bird Club encourages people to check out the bird watching kit and experience birding in the Three Lakes area. Users can keep a copy of the bird checklists to start their own personal birding checklists. The Nicolet Bird Club wants to help those interested in birds have access to the tools that will help increase their birding skills and to improve knowledge and appreciation for bird species in the Three Lakes area," the library said in a press release. "The mission of the Nicolet Bird Club is to bring together birders of different skill levels to share in the enjoyment of birding, to educate the community about birds and our natural world, to foster an appreciation and respect for our local natural resources, to encourage bird habitat improvement, and to meet the criteria sustaining Three Lakes as a Bird City Wisconsin community."
