RN: Please explain your job?
MS: We're a non-profit to advocate for and promote the downtown. We do everyting from design aspects to putting on events and helping downtown landlords find renters. We have four committees: organization, design, economic restructuring, and promotion.
RN: How long have you held this job?
MS: Three years.
RN: What is your favorite part of the job?
MS: It's such a diverse job, I'm never without something to do. My favorite part is when someone without a vested interest in the downtown comes forward and helps, or the general support of the community.
RN: What is the biggest misconception about the job?
MS: The lack of understanding of what DRI, Inc. is or what we're involved with.
RN: What do you like to do in your spare time?
MS: I like everything from flowers to interior decorating, riding our motorcycle and visiting our cabin.
