The dealership already has plans to expand by relocating the business further down from the 2066 Stevens Street address it currently occupies. That move is scheduled for 2016.
The new dealership has approximately 50 vehicles on the lot, general manager Mike Rock said Tuesday.
Homerun Auto Group owns the dealership, which employs seven people in Rhinelander.
Homerun Auto Group owns 30 vehicle dealerships in Michigan and Illinois, according to its website.
Rhinelander Nissan offers new vehicles, used vehicles and a service department.
What sets Rhinelander Nissan apart from other dealerships is that they're starting from scratch, Rock said.
"We're trying to build a positive environment and help out the community at the same time," he said. "Every month we're trying to do something different, like this month, we're donating to the Rhinelander (Area) Food Pantry."
"We want to be really community oriented and show that we care," Rock added. "Rhinelander's a great growing community and we want to show them it's not all about being a big corporation."
The new location isn't going to be too big, according to Rock. "It's still going to be intimate," he said.
While it will feature a larger showroom and service area, it will still emphasize a down-home feel, "not some big cathedral," Rock said. "We don't dress in suits and ties, we're laidback and listen, everybody always has a story," he added.
This caring attitude is present both in the service and sales department, Rock said, as when the service department listens, they find out the problem the owner is having with the vehicle. "Same thing when selling a car." Rock said.
Rhinelander Nissan is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturdays. For more information, call (715) 420-2200 or visit www.rhinelandernissan.com.
