By Kayla Thomason-
Wege, 30, passed away July 10 following a long battle with cystic fibrosis.
He was a captain of the Pine Lake Fire Department.
"(He was) a good friend to all," said Sharon Cline, a family friend. "A.J. was also a very awesome bowler. (He) was out on the pro circuit going to many, many tournaments. (He was) just a super person."
There will be a basket raffle, paddle wheel raffle and a silent auction. Prizes will include a carved bench by Potlickers Custom Chainsaw Sculptures, a tool chest, oil changes, car washes, gift certificates and more.
Firefighters from the Pine Lake Fire Department and others will serve food. All of the proceeds will go to the Wege family.
Come Dance With Me will supply the musical entertainment for the evening.
"We just hope that everyone comes out to support the (Wege) family because they have had such loss," Cline said. "A.J.'s brother passed away also from cystic fibrosis about three years ago and they lost the father (Dale) last month and now A.J."
Monetary and gift donations can be given to Sharon Cline at Hodag Lanes. If she is not there the donations can be dropped off at the Hideout (restaurant/bar connected to Hodag Lanes). Please note on the donation who it is from so the Wege family knows who to thank. If you are writing a check, please it out to Ellen Wege. For cash or check donations please write on the envelope that it is a donation to the Wege family.
