Baby Storytime
The Rhinelander District Library's summer session of Baby Storytime is in progress. This storytime is conducted on Mondays at 10:15 a.m. Designed for young ones ages 6 months to 2 years of age, this 20-minute program consists of simple stories, fingerplays, and music. A social/play time follows each program.
Big Vehicle Day
The Rhinelander District Library will host a "Big Vehicle" program on Tuesday, July 21 from 10 to 1:30 a.m. Children are invited to the library parking lot to inspect a variety of vehicles. Due to this program the library parking lot will not be available for regular patron parking until 1 p.m. this day.
Amphibian Program
Randy Korb, the Frog Guy, will present unique and highly engaging live amphibian programs at the Rhinelander District Library on Wednesday, July 22. The morning program will be from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. and the afternoon show will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m. A free ticket is needed to attend this program and can be obtained by visiting the children's department or calling (715) 365-1070, ext. 2.
Preschool Programs
Two programs for preschoolers are scheduled at the Rhinelander District Library on Thursday, July 23. A 20- minute Parent/Tot Time program for children age 2 to 3 1/2 who are accompanied by an adult begins at 10 a.m. in the children's department.
A 40-minute Story Time program for children age 3 1/2 to 6 is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the library meeting room. At the completion of the programs, caregivers and children from both groups will gather together to do a simple craft.
Worm Race
Calling all worm racers! The 27th Annual Great Library Worm Race will be crawled on Tuesday, July 28 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. outside the Rhinelander District Library. Worm racing teams need to register with the Northwoods Worm Racing Federation by visiting the Library's children's department or by calling 365-1070, extension 2. There is a limit of 60 teams. This program is sponsored by the Northwoods Lions Club.
