Concerts on the Riverwalk series to feature Rhinelander Area Community Band
The band will play under the direction of Jim Pekol. From familiar tunes like "Beer Barrel Polka" and "Sound of Music" to concert pieces that show off the talent of the all-volunteer band, the evening promises to be entertaining, concert series organizers said in a press release.
This performance is being sponsored by Eye Clinic of Wisconsin, and additional good-will donations will be accepted from the audience. Free popcorn will be served, and listeners are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets or a picnic. In case of bad weather, the performance will move to the senior center. The community band played at that venue for its first concert and were pleased. Chairs inside are plentiful and the acoustics are very good.
