The first game of Tuesday's doubleheader at Stafford Field was a continuation of a game from last week called after eight innings due to darkness. Rhinelander 3 and Merrill Gray resumed play tied 10-10 after eight innings. Rhinelander 3 was at the plate to lead off the ninth inning. A win would have secured a berth in the regional season championship game for Rhinelander 3 where they would have faced Lakeland. A Rhinelander loss, or a victory for Eagle River over the Tomahawk Cardinals, would result in an Eagle River vs Lakeland matchup on Thursday in the championship.
Rhinelander 3 had the top of its lineup at bat to start the ninth inning and Jacob DeMeyer drew a leadoff walk. He then stole back-to-back bases to reach third, but was left stranded after Rhinelander's offense stalled.
Merrill Gray went to bat in the bottom half of the inning and started off with a leadoff single. DeMeyer, who was pitching for the Hodags, retired the next batter. A stolen base led the runner at first to second base and then the Hodags intentionally walked the next two batters to load thebases with one out. The fifth batter to step to the plate for Merrill drove a hard ground ball past DeMeyer and no one was able to make a play. The hit drove in the winning run for Merrill Gray ending the game after nine innings of play 11-10.
Meanwhile, in Tomahawk, Eagle River edged the Cardinals 3-2 putting both Eagle River and Rhinelander 3 at 9-3 on the season. Eagle River was credited with the Marquardt Division title based on a fewer number of losses inside the division and will play Lakeland at 7:15 p.m. Thursday in Rhinelander for the regular season championship.

Merrill Gray 11, Laser Pros 4
The second game of Tuesday's doubleheader had Laser Pros hosting the same Merrill team that downed Rhinelander 3. Laser Pros lost the contest 11-4.
Easton Senoraske started on the mound for Laser Pros. He threw three innings, striking out four batters. Tyler Olson and Scott Fox pitched the remaining four innings, striking out one.
On the offensive side of the ball Laser Pros showed excellent patience at the plate, drawing nine walks in the game.
Fox scored one run and drew a pair of walks. Senoraske scored twice on one hit and drew a pair of walks.
Tait Spencer and Colton Kreuger both had two hits in the game.
Seth Stafford scored a run, drew a walk and drove in Senoraske in the fourth inning.
Isaiah Piosalan had a hit and a walk and both Bryce Schickert and Ryan Mullen drew walks.
