The former home of Wisconsin Public Service on Davenport Street was built in 1966. The structure's unique design, by architect Eric Friis of Eagle River, was dominated by the pre-cast cement forms used in the roof. Not only did the new facility contain the WPS offices previously located at two different sites on Brown Street, but also an expanded sales floor and demonstration room, big enough for showing instructional films to the public.
