Youth: JWMS gymnasts win another meet
The Hodags posted a season-high score of 112.9 points and defeated runner-up Antigo by 5.6 points.
Raven Sturtevant led the Hodags, taking first in the Level 4+ category in two events and in the individual all-around with a score of 34.3. Cassie Choinski placed third in the all-around (27.25)
Individual podium finishers for the Hodags were as follows:
Vaulting
Level 3: Harlie Zimmerman 1st; Brianna Hagen, Amber Briggs T-2nd; Emily Radke, Bridget Koser, Tina Kansariwala, Autumn Shafer T-3rd.
Level 4+: Sturtevant 2nd, Choinski 3rd.
Uneven Bars
Level 2-3: Isabelle DeMeyer 1st, Shafer 4th.
Level 4+: Sturtevant 1st, Choinski 2nd.
Balance Beam
Level 2-3: Kansariwala T-3rd, Briggs 5th.
Level 4+: Sturtevant 1st, Radke 3rd, Mikayla Evanstad T-4th.
Floor Exercise
Level 4+: Sturtevant 2nd.
The Hodags will conclude their season Monday with a home meet at the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium. March-in take places at 5:15 p.m. with competition starting at 5:30.
