Big changes are being made to the operating team at Frasier's Plumbing, Heating and Cooling, but those changes will not affect the way the company is run.

According to a release from the company's current owner, Phil Frasier, a completely new operating team - which Frasier has dubbed his "dream team" - will be taking over in the coming months.

"Over the last century, our family has had the wonderful privilege of serving you - our community and neighbors - with our plumbing and heating shop. Your trust is so special to us, and we thank you for it," Frasier said. "Our deep love for this community and our customers has led us to make a decision concerning the operations of our company."

Due to other commitments, Frasier said he is no longer able to put in the time needed to properly run his company. Knowing that, he said he hand-picked a team that will keep the company the same Northwoods-centric establishment it has been for so long.

"Over the past few years, my involvement in serving with different outdoor-based for-profit and non-profit groups has meant more time away from the business, which limits the time I have to properly guide our team's future. Due to the growth of our outdoor ventures we have decided to give it the bulk of our attention and because of this, it has become clear to me that it is time to pass the mantle of operations management at Frasier's on to a new team," he said.

"I have found a team very well qualified to continue the Frasier's tradition of serving our customers and follow our motto of 'considerate people, considerate service, consider it done.' We wanted to continue the legacy of being locally owned, so we chose a management team to come in and share ownership with us, versus selling the business that has been in our family dating back to pre-prohibition."

The team will be made up of four new faces that Frasier said people will begin to see "around the community in the coming weeks, months and years."

The team includes two new part-owners - Kenny Chapman and Kelly Schols.

"An entrepreneur at heart, Kenny has built Peterson Plumbing in Grand Junction, Colo., and is known in the home services industry as 'The Blue Collar Coach,'" Frasier said of Chapman.

"Kenny has become a well-respected expert on business and personal development, and was named one of America's Premier Experts for 2011 and was the winner of the 2014 Tom McCart Award. He authored a book called 'The Six Dimensions of C.H.A.N.G.E' and writes a monthly column for Plumbing & Mechanical Magazine. Kenny has also been seen on ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX, as well as featured in USA Today."

Frasier was equally complimentary of Schols.

"Deeply involved in the home services industry since 1982, Kelly is the owner of CPI Plumbing in Mount Vernon, Wash.," Frasier said. "He is also involved in best practice groups throughout the plumbing and HVAC industry and does coaching and consulting for those groups, as well as being a facilitator for the Dave Ramsey Core Financial Wellness class."

The new team also includes John Burwell as operations manager.

"John is the general manager of Peterson Plumbing in Grand Junction, Colo. and while John's passion lies in coaching and developing high-performance teams, his expertise stretches far beyond that," Frasier said.

"John understands all aspects of running a profitable business, particularly the role of a leader in small business. John is a national award-winning coach and trainer because of his ability to help others to improve their service skills."

Rounding out the team is Robin Stevens, new internal operations manager.

"Originally born in Milwaukee, Robin was born into a family of entrepreneurs. You might say that business operations is in her blood," Frasier said.

"Robin spent her early career in her family's business playing roles in all aspects of accounting and finance. She managed the accounting functions for 14 entities of the growing business, successfully overseeing multiple acquisitions. In 2004, Robin joined the team at Peterson Plumbing in Grand Junction, Colo. as the company's inside operations manager. Both there and here at Frasier's, she handles all aspects of finance, call center management, inventory, and other crucial areas of the internal company operations."

Frasier said he is excited to see what the new team brings to the Northwoods.

"We are very excited to have this team joining us in our mission of serving you and your home's comfort needs in to 2015 and beyond. I truly could not have asked for a better set of business professionals or, more importantly, people to take on the legacy our family has built over the last century," he said.

"Frasier's is not going away - far from it. We are, and always will be, a Northwoods powered company deeply involved and in love with this community. And we are very excited to take that service to the next level as these industry professionals partner with our team going in to the future."

While every member of the new team is from out of town, Jared Frasier, marketing and recruiting coordinator for Frasier's, said they will be staying in the area.

"The new operations team is living in the area part-time and they are all very excited to become Northwoods neighbors," he said.

"The local team is (also) sticking around - and very excited to do so. It's kind of like being a flag football team and finding out that you get Mike McCarthy to come be your coach."
