Middle school gymnasts win home meet
Raven Sturtevant won the individual all-around for the Hodags. Cassie Choinski took fifth in the all-around.
Rhinelander's top-five finishes in individual events were:
Vault - Sturtevant 2nd, Choinski and Mikayla Evenstad T-5th.
Uneven Bars - Sturtevant 2nd, Choinski 4th.
Balance Beam - Emily Radke 2nd, Sturtevant and Harlie Zimmermann T-3rd.
Floor Exercise - Sturtevant 1st, Radke 4th.
Hodags win in Minocqua
The Hodags scored 103.2 points to defeat Minocqua/Hazelhurst/
Lake Tomahawk and AV/W Feb. 5 at MHLT Elementary School.
Sturtevant won all four events and the individual all-around. Choinski was fourth in the all-around, second on the vault, fourth on the floor exercise and fifth on the balance beam.
Other top-five finishes for the Hodags were:
Vault - Autumn Shafer 5th.
Uneven Bars - Isabelle DeMeyer 3rd, Maya Paulson 4th.
Balance Beam - Radke 3rd, Evenstad 4th, Zimmermann 5th.
Floor Exercise - Radke 2nd, Schafer T-4th, Bridget Koser 5th.
The Hodags will take part in a quadrangular meet Monday in Marshfield and conclude their season with a meet Feb. 23 at the Miazga Gym.
