Annalise Callaghan advances to state spelling bee
Named one of the top champion spellers in the Northland Pines District Bee, Annalise advanced to the regional Spelling Bee held at Northland Pines Thursday, Feb. 5. After seven rounds of spelling, Annalise was named champion speller. She now advances to the state spelling bee at MATC's Mitby Theatre in Madison on March 21.
Runner up at the region 2 bee was fifth grader Lillian Reinke from Elcho Elementary School. Should Annalise not be able to compete, Lillian will represent CESA #9 Region 2.
