Youth Sports: RBA hosts 5th- and 6th-grade tournament
The RBA fielded three teams for the event - a sixth-grade squad and two fifth-grade teams.
The Hodag fifth-grade teams fared well, placing first and third in the six-team meet. The Hodag Green team went 4-0 on the day with wins over Antigo (28-21), Lakeland (27-16), Ironwood, Mich. (38-17) and Tomahawk (33-14). The Hodag White team went 3-1 with wins over Tomahawk (32-7), Antigo (33-15) and Ironwood (30-24). The White team's lone loss was a 25-22 defeat against Lakeland.
The Hodag sixth-graders went 1-2 and placed fourth in the tournament. They started the day with close losses to Wausau West (20-27) and D.C. Everest (46-49) and ended the day with a 43-10 victory over Butternut.
