RBA eighth-grade girls win final tournament
The Hodags went 10-8 during the traveling season and will now transition into middle school ball in January.
Sixth-grade boys win Merrill tourney
The RBA's sixth-grade boys' green team opened its season by taking first place in an eight-team tournament Dec. 19 in Merrill. The Hodags went undefeated in pool play, defeating Marshfield (23-20), Tomahawk (32-15) and Stevens Point Black (44-40). Rhinelander then downed Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 46-25 in the championship game.
Seventh-grade girls take second in Phillips
The RBA seventh-grade girls team went 2-1 Dec. 19 and finished second in a four-team meet in Phillips. The Hodags opened the day with a 42-30 win over Rice Lake Gold, lost to Medford 40-30 and defeated Duluth East 36-17.
