Rondele Ranch: New luxury Northwoods retreat now open
"Exquisite facilities are situated on a wooded, 500-acre property that boasts a trout stream and a man-made, private lake," the release states. "A beautifully-maintained trail system allows guests nearly endless opportunities to get away from the pressures of hectic schedules and crowded venues, yet for those seeking adventure and outdoor fun, a full range of activities and leisure pursuits awaits."
The centerpiece of Rondele Ranch is the 10,000 square foot Main Lodge, originally built in 2005 as a private residence by Canadian-born cheese magnate Claude Bourguignon. In fact, the property is named after his greatest claim to fame, the innovative rondelé® French-style spreadable cheese, the release notes.
Bob Chadwell, president and CEO of Aqua Finance, Inc., indicated that the new owner, Aqua Properties, added many new, guest-friendly features while retaining the unique and impressive architecture, craftsmanship, furnishings, and decorations of the original. Fossil tiles, African mahogany woodwork, floor-to-vaulted-ceiling windows, and wildlife trophy room/bar are just a few of the touches of luxury in the one-of-a-kind Main Lodge, the release states.
A fully-equipped business center is built into the lower level of the Main Lodge. Overnight accommodations in the Main Lodge and the smaller Elk Lodge can sleep up to 26 people. And a huge, rustic outbuilding shelters receptions and other activities from the elements.
Outdoor activities run the gamut from silent sports to motor sports, and everything in between. Fishing, hiking, trap shooting, bird hunting, snowmobiling, canoeing and kayaking, ATV riding, and more are available on the property, with many additional choices created by thousands of acres of public land adjacent to the property, and the hundreds of lakes and rivers nearby.
According to event coordinator Wendy Van Dyke, "You'd be hard pressed to find a destination where 'getting away from it all' and 'having it all' come together so beautifully."
