The staff at Rhinelander GM paused Friday evening for a celebration of the dealership's recent makeover.

The facility's exterior now features Chevy's Navy blue.

"(The exterior) is the hugest part that was done and after the inside, every place that a guest would see has been touched by the remodel," said Tarsie Goes, Rhinelander GM marketing director.

The dealership once sold five brands but with the loss of Pontiac Chevy took precedence over the other brands, Goes said.

The building now has a unified Chevy theme throughout.

The showroom has new tile floors, the service drives and quick service have a new look, new energy efficient lights, new blue furniture with light wood, and a special section in the showrooms for the Cadillacs.

"This definitely has a nice new fresh look to it and the Chevrolet definitely is more bold within the building," Goes said, adding that she likes how organized the building is now that the improvements have been made.

"Having a little bit more organized space for our guests (is nice)," she said "Newer means a cleaner environment. The lighting is much better, especially in the service areas so they love that. And change shows that we are progressing with the times and the economy is good enough to allow us to make these changes so that's nice too."

The remodeling caused staff and guests alike to be shuffled about for a time, but no feathers appeared to have been ruffled.

"We really appreciate all of our guests being patient with the remodel," Goes said. "There were times where our service advisers were in the service lane and we had our guests sitting in our showroom instead of a lobby so they were fantastic. All of our guests, there was not one complaint, everybody was super excited to see the outcome."

Now that all the commotion of the project has settled down, the employees are enjoying their new surroundings, she added.

"(The employees) love it of course, especially now that it is finished," Goes said.

Goes finds the new look appealing.

"Personally I think it's beautiful, the touch is just spot on for Chevrolet and it's always nice to have a whole new fresh look," she said.

Bayland Builders were the contractors on the job and Rhinelander GM was pleased with their work.

"They did a fantastic job, we love working with the guys," Goes said. "They're just a really great crew to have around."

The event was also an employee appreciation gathering and retired Green Bay Packers players Gilbert Brown and William Henderson made an appearance.

"It's cool that they're willing to celebrate that with us," Goes said.
