YMCA announces snowman making contest
"Get your family and friends together and build your version of the perfect snowman," a YMCA press release urged. "Creativity is encouraged... the possibilities are endless. Register at the Y and pick up your registration packet with the rules and submission details beginning Dec. 11. Then create your snowman wherever it is legal and safe to do so between the dates of Dec. 11 and Jan. 29."
Entry costs are $8 per member family and $16 per general public family. This includes entry into the Hot Chocolate Snow Bash on Friday, Feb. 5, to celebrate the contest.
Prizes will be awarded for the top three snowmen.
