According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, a search warrant was executed in the city of Rhinelander that led to the arrest of two men and two women.
The warrant was executed as part of an investigation involving the use, manufacture and delivery of controlled substances, specifically methamphetamine, sheriff's captain Terri Hook said in a press release.
"During the apprehension of one of the suspects, a short chase occurred within the city of Rhinelander but (it) ended quickly and without incident," Hook added.
Arrested in connection with the investigation were Joel Hughes, 44, Chantil Rahlf, 41, Nichole Johnson, 23, and Justin Helvey, 27, all of Rhinelander.
All four defendants appeared in Oneida County Circuit Court Wednesday where they were formally charged with a number of counts, including felonies, related to the manufacture or possession of meth.
All four are due back in court later this month for further proceedings.
