Hext Theatre to host its first community play
"The Theatre is excited to expand their repertoire to now host the HT Community Theatre Group," theatre officials said in a press release. "The cast is comprised of amateur actors from around the Northwoods of various ages and acting experience."
The play is entitled "Superhero Support Group," in which a group of superheroes convenes to meet with a doctor who has the ability to remove superpowers so they can finally live normal lives. But will it turn out to be a blessing or a curse?
Showtimes are as follows: 7 p.m. Aug. 15, 1 p.m. Aug. 16, 7 p.m. Aug. 21, 7 p.m. Aug. 22 and 1 p.m. Aug. 23.

"Over the last four years, the Hext Theatre has been building a reputation in the Northwoods for hosting comedians, musicians, and more from around the area as well as nationwide," the press release states. "We hope to continue hosting more theatre productions in the future and expand the theatre group to include more people. This is an open group and anyone interested in acting, directing, set design, etc. should feel free to contact us. All experience levels welcome."
