Anglo-American Cup: Monday, Aug. 10

We started out early going back to Wright Robinson to play the second game for the Anglo-American cup (the trophy that was created especially for our tour here). We won the game 4-0 and will be bringing home the Cup! The second half of the game was so fun; we goofed around and had a great time...Claire played for the other side and one of their coaches played in goal.

After the game we played bubble ball (big inflatables that you wear on the top half of your body). It was like bumper cars. It was fun hanging out with the other team. No one was upset that they lost and the overall goodwill was felt by all. They gave us personalized jerseys.

We came back to the hostel to refresh ourselves. We walked to Afflecks to get henna tattoos. They were all unique. We split up and went to different places to eat. Then we gathered back at the hostel for our wrap-up meeting.

Manchester City & MCA: Tuesday, Aug. 11

Started out our day meeting at Wright Robinson so they could take us to tour Manchester City Stadium, where the women play. We were able to watch the women's professional team train. We saw a few girls that played for England's National team (they participated in the World Cup). We also saw their field and locker rooms. Great experience!

Next we headed to Manchester Communication Academy for our final match of our tour. It was an up-and-down battle that unfortunately ended in a loss for us (5-3). After the game we watched performances from many of their students. They sang, danced, and rapped for us. It was amazing. Very talented. We had a bite to eat with them and left.

We returned to the hostel and walked to Piccolinos for our final team dinner in Manchester. We ended with wonderful milkshakes from Archie's, then danced and goofed our way back to the hostel for the night!
