Wright Robinson: Wednesday, Aug. 5

WE WON!!! Score was 3-0. Claire Hjelle, Kenedy Van Zile and Brooke Mork all scored today!

Before and after the game we were able to connect with our pen pals. Some were super social and others were shy, but all warmed up at the end. We gave them old Hodag jerseys and gift bags. After the game we ate food and did a lot of talking with our pen pals. Then we played dodgeball.

One said "if they throw as hard as they kick, I don't want to play them." We will play them again on Monday to try to get the Anglo-American Cup!

Next we went to the Football Museum where we played interactive activities to test our football skills.

We ended the day at Arndale which had various shops.

We are exhausted and ready for bed.

Chatsworth House: Thursday, Aug. 6

Today we visited the Peak District which is England's national park area. Many enjoyed the countryside views as it was different from the Northwoods area. Small villages, stone walls separating lush fields many with sheep and cows.

We toured Chatsworth House (Mr. Darcy's house from "Pride & Prejudice"). Many dukes and duchesses have added their own touches and styles over the years and it was simply amazing. So much to see from the marble, oak, and sculptures. We got to see a real Rembrandt! Outside were spectacular rock gardens that many of us enjoyed taking pictures around. It was a beautiful day!

We ended the day at a sushi and noodle place...hibachi grill. Very fun atmosphere!

We are all packed for London as we are headed there bright and early tomorrow!

This has been an amazing trip and we are so thankful to be here!
