He is charged in three separate cases with three felony counts of theft in a business setting, six misdemeanor counts of issuing worthless checks and five misdemeanor counts of theft in a business setting. The case charging the six counts of issuing worthless checks dates back to Jan. 16, 2014. The second warrant was issued by Branch I Judge Patrick O'Melia when the felony charges were brought on April 23. The third case was filed April 28. At his initial appearance Wednesday before Bloom, Montalto was ordered held on $10,000 bond and an adjourned initial appearance date was set for Aug. 13.
