Woodpecker claims men's pool league title
The team from Woodpecker Bar and Grill claimed first place in the league by defeating Crescent Corners 1, 5-2, in the championship match. Team members for Woodpecker include Kurt Keso, Troy Coates, Gary Vozka, Mark Siech, Dave Swett, Bruce Gruening, Don Ebert, Steve Schuettner, and Ray Weber. Playing for Crescent Corners 1 were Pete Miazga, Mike Hagen, Joe Hagen, Scott Yonker, Denny Houle, Jeff Hagen, Steve Hagen and Chuck Craig.
Taj Mahall 2 defeated Pat's Tavern 5-4 to claim third place in the league. Team members for Taj Mahall 2 include Bill Wanty, Dan Gillis, Rod Loduha, Doug Dumpprope, Mike Hartmann, Sam Hartmann, Gary Dervetski, Mike Schultz and Bill McKenzie. Playing for Pat's Tavern were Pat Deau, Jack Nelson, Jake Nelson, John Krueger, Jim Lawrence, Bob Aschenbrenner and Tim Phelan.
The Rhinelander Men's Pool League would like to thank Taj Mahall for hosting the finals.
