'Growing Fruit in the Northwoods' presentation to be held at Rhinelander library
He will demonstrate how to grow a wide variety of fruits in one's own backyard, from cultivating berries on vines, shrubs and trees, as well as growing kiwis, plums, and everything in between. He will also discuss which varieties are best suited to the local planting zone and secrets of cultivation that will increase one's chances of successful fruit growing. (Hanson gave a similar presentation last year at the Northwoods Gardeners Conference.)
Hanson's Garden Village has been in operation for 30 years, and plays a leading role in promoting sustainable growing practices. Hanson's is active in plant evaluation for northern gardens, and is the Northwoods' leader in producing native regional plants as well as shoreline design and restoration.
