Marshfield Clinic welcomes interventional cardiologist
"It's consistently putting the patient first and doing whatever it takes to deliver the best possible care," he said. "When a patient is suffering a heart attack, time is the biggest factor in preventing lasting damage."
Prior to becoming a cardiologist, Peter was a hospitalist, a board-certified internal medicine and sleep medicine physician at Howard Young Medical Center, Minocqua. These skill sets in areas often related to heart disease give him experience and insights into providing heart care and understanding patients' needs. "And having lived in the North-woods for seven years, I'm happy to be back home in Wiscon-sin," he said.
Peter went to medical school at Armed Forces Medical College in India. He completed an internal medicine residency at State University of New York; and fellowships in cardiovascular diseases at Louisiana State University at Shreveport and interventional cardiology at University of Massachusetts Medical School.
