Rhinelander Area Scholarship Foundation is raffling off a neon Hodag sign. The raffle will help in raising scholarship money to award more scholarships to RHS graduates. The RASF is a non-profit charitable organization with a volunteer governing board that raises money and distributes scholarships to Rhinelander students, many of whom may not get scholarship support from other sources. In 2014, 87 students were awarded 170 local scholarships, totaling $288,350.

"Community support is essential as a foundation cannot do this alone," the foundation said in a press release. "Through partnering with local businesses owned by Rhinelander High School alumni, the Rhinelander Area Scholarship Foundation has worked to raise scholarship dollars throughout the summer and early fall. Raffle tickets are $10 per ticket or three for $25 to win the unique Hodag neon sign. Local business owners are selling these tickets to the customers that patronize their businesses. They will be taking turns displaying the Neon Hodag up until the time of the raffle drawing which is scheduled for halftime of the homecoming football game on Oct. 10.

For information on how to purchase tickets for the Neon Hodag, contact Tracy Hartman at (715) 499-0500 or Tracey Barnes at (715) 482-4338.

For additional information on how you can help support RASF through establishing a scholarship or to make a donation, contact Randy Beard at (715) 369-1040.
