The meeting will be held from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. in the University Transfer Center Room 204.
Those interested in learning more about volunteering as a Big Brother or Big Sister, serving on the organization's Northwoods Regional Board or being part of the fundraising committee should attend.
"Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is as simple as playing a board game, tossing a football or sharing a meal," the organization said in a press release. "Through these activities, the volunteer builds a relationship with a child in our community and helps them to reach their potential and be successful in life. Research shows that children who have a Big Brother or Big Sister can experience many benefits, including: better performance in school, better relationships with their peers, and less likely to use drugs and alcohol."
