Brad Huybers, a member of the RIA's 1992 Squirt B and 1994 Peewee B state champion teams, passed away in February at the age of 31.
Pictured are Huybers' first cousins, Sam and Miranda Rhode, who presented a $1,835 check, Huybers' jersey and a plaque to RIA rink manager Brett Aylesworth on behalf of the Huybers family. The jersey and plaque will be displayed, along with the state championship trophies, in a trophy case in the ice arena's lobby.
Aylesworth said the money will go toward the betterment of RIA Hockey programs and facilities.
