"We just feel that this is a great organization to contribute to, to help out our vets," said Wendy Rheinschmidt, Green Bay division manager at UPS.
AMVETS will use the money to repair the Rhinelander Veterans Center.
"[Receiving the donation is] huge. You can see by the building it's in desperate need of repairs so it's huge for us to purchase more materials that we need," said Dan Keck, AMVETS' vice chairman.
The room that is being remodeled is used by the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), American Legions, AMVETS, NCO Club and the Military Support Group as a meeting room. It is also where they host their Christmas parties.
