Award-winning photographer Sharon Dowis is noted for taking images that surprise, amuse, and delight, the college said in a press release announcing the exhibition. Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally.
Sharon Feathers is a retired teacher now pursuing her interest in art through travel, the release states. Her experiences around the world have given her many opportunities to take beautiful photographs, which she uses as reference material for her paintings.
Patrick Plunkett is a retired manufacturing engineer who uses his skills to create metal sculptures and paintings with both serious and whimsical themes, according to the release.
The exhibit runs through Sunday, Nov. 9. A closing reception will be held on that day from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the gallery, preceding the Nicolet Players final performance of "The Game's Afoot" at 2 p.m. in the adjacent Nicolet College Theatre.
The Nicolet College Art Gallery, located in the Learning Resources Center, is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Admission is free to the gallery and closing reception. Tickets to the play are $7 and $9 and can be purchased online at nicoletlive.com or by calling (715) 365-4646.
