Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes and thanks 2014 volunteers
"This is just one small way for us to say 'Thank you!' to all of the people who help make our work possible," said RACC executive director Dana DeMet.
"Without our volunteers, none of our programming or events could be possible. We really can't thank them enough for the time and effort they've given to us throughout this year and previous years."
Special recognition was given to the 2014 Male and Female Volunteers of the Year. These awards were presented to recognize those volunteers who made exceptional efforts and time commitments to assist the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce. The 2014 Male Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Elvis Bauman. Eileen Persike was recognized as 2014 Female Volunteer of the Year.
"Eileen and Elvis were two people who really went above-and-beyond what we could have ever asked of them as volunteers," commented DeMet. "They did everything from lending their personal vehicles to us to transport event supplies to getting up before dawn to help us setup for an event and direct traffic. I really can't say enough about their dedication and enthusiasm for helping us accomplish our mission."
Award recipients received a commemorative plaque as well as $25 in Rhinelander Chamber Bucks.
The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce would like to extend its sincere gratitude to all community-members who donated their time and energy to the organization throughout the year. Those wishing to find opportunities to volunteer in 2015 can contact the RACC office at (715) 365-7464 or [email protected].
